Iryna was just 23 years old when she made the brave journey from Ukraine to the United States. Like many young women fleeing the devastation of war, she came seeking safety and the promise of a new beginning.

She carried with her the hopes and dreams that so many refugees hold dear - the chance to rebuild, to find peace, and to create a life free from the violence that had torn apart her homeland.

Tragically, her life was cut short far too soon. But her story continues to inspire us to fight for justice, to protect the vulnerable, and to ensure that her name - and the names of all women lost to violence - are never forgotten.
